Prevention and Education

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and one of the most important things to prevent an allegation of sexual harassment is mandatory training, clear policy and procedures and zero tolerance for retaliation. Sexual assault awareness month is a great time for executive leaders to communicate the importance of being an active bystander, how to report an incident and where to go for support. April is a good month to review and revise policy, implement educational workshops and standards of behavior for a respectful and inclusive environment.
